Accountable Care Coalition of Southeast Texas Earned $5 Million in Savings and Achieved a Perfect Score for Quality Outcomes in 2022

TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 8, 2023) Collaborative Health Systems (CHS), a management services organization for providers and wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, announced today the Accountable Care Coalition (ACC) of Southeast Texas, Inc. generated $5 million in gross savings under the Direct Contracting Entity model for performance year 2022 and achieved a 100% quality score, according to a recent report released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).   The ACC of Southeast Texas consists of 120 independent primary care providers with 7,331 Medicare beneficiaries under the model. The organization, which is managed by CHS, began operating under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation Next Generation program in 2016 and successfully transitioned to Direct Contracting in 2022. Today, the organization is a participant in the ACO REACH Model.   “We are very pleased with the continued demonstrated success shown by these providers and their effort to achieve greater savings for their organization and Medicare,” said Anthony Valdés, president of Collaborative Health Systems. “It has been an honor to work alongside these providers, align our strategies, and offer tools and resources to boost their success in value-based care.”   The $5 million earned in savings equates to a 4.2% savings rate for performance year 2022.
