Collaborative Health Systems Celebrates New Value-Based Care Joint Venture in Connecticut

TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 8, 2023)Collaborative Health Systems (CHS), a health management services organization and wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, recently celebrated a new value-based care joint venture with the Connecticut State Medical Society – Independent Practice Association designed to give its network of independent providers greater opportunity to improve patient care and outcomes and lower costs for their Medicare Advantage patients.

“Collaborative Health Systems is excited to expand our relationship with our providers in Connecticut by offering a value-based care option,” said Brian Steele, DO, chief medical officer at CHS.

The new joint venture grants participating providers access to Collaborative Health System’s data analytics, provider management, population health tools, and in-market support providers need to deliver value-based care to help patients live their healthiest lives.

“It’s great to have established this joint venture with Collaborative Health Systems,” said David Thompson, MD, president and chief medical officer of the Connecticut State Medical Society – Independent Practice Association. “Value-based care is changing the way we look at health care by focusing on the patient and identifying the early signs of disease to provide the most effective treatment.”

Collaborative Health Systems is dedicated to helping independent providers achieve greater results and make the shift from volume to value.

“We hope to extend this value-based care approach to other Medicare Advantage partners in the near future,” Dr. Steele added.   ###   About Collaborative Health Systems  Collaborative Health Systems (CHS) is a management services organization that partners with independent primary care physicians as they move to value-based models.
